Dear Ms Yang

In many places, as long as you purchase something, you will be asked to leave your e- mail address for a membership sign-up. And till the moment of this work to be started, there are over 4000 pieces of mail sent by various brands and shops in my junk mail file, and all these mails are started with the name ‘Dear Ms Yang’. So I created an avatar called ‘Dear Qin-hua’ using my own body and let her live in an abandoned city which is made of all those junk mails. And the screen device is programmed to a robot hand, once a mail falls on the ground, the hand writes the name on the paper.
「楊秦華様」という単語は、いつも広告メールの冒頭挨拶として、毎日大量に自分のメールボックスに現れます。この作品では、二つの映像と一つのインスタレーションで構成されます。メインの画面中、ゲームのような廃墟都市の中、「楊秦華様」を載せた広告メールのスクリーンショットが落ちてくる、それとともに、ロボットハンズがこの名前を自動的に書いてる。その後ろのスクリーンの中、自分の顔写真で生成した「楊秦華様」のアバターのイメージが点滅してる。
ある意味で、リアルの日常行為とリアルの顔写真とともに、逆に虚構なアバターを制作しました。
